Interesting..

Came across a post on boing boing with this artist who got busted recently for creating a secret apartment unit at a mall in Providence. Apparently, the place has been around for a few years.

It’s amazing it took that long for security guards to find that!!

Here is a link to the artist’s site explaining his concept and more. And read the news article about the incident.

Found this fun contest over at core77.com

Let’s do it!

Now here’s a transportation design challenge you can really sink your hands into, er, on? Hands-on? Yeah. Scion’s Craft My Ride competition wants you to whip out your “hands-on” skills to create a handmade car accessory. Car accessory = “key chain, car cover, seat cover, floor mat, steering wheel cover, drink holder, or any other idea that pops into your head.” The craftmaster with the winning accessory, to be chosen by a panel of “crafty” judges, will receive a 2008 Scion XD.

BetterFood

Through May 26, 2007

For many of us, eating is no longer a purely essential occupation; it is something that has developed into an activity, even a ritual or social fact. Eating has above all become a sensual experience of tastes and pleasure. It is not only the attention to the origin, but also to the authenticity and quality of food that has increased in the last years. BetterFood creates a dining environment in the Design Flanders Gallery with products from Flemish designers who - directly or indirectly – help make eating itself into a beautiful moment.
